A. I am a retired nurse practitioner. My love of gardening led me to complete an Associate Degree in Horticulture with an emphasis on design at Foothill College, in Los Altos, California.
Q. What services do you provide?
A. My Services include: • Residential Landscape Design • Consultation & Problem Solving • Curb Appeal Improvements • New Design or Redesign Existing • Coaching & Mentoring • Contractor Referrals
Q. How do you work?
A. I first meet with prospective clients to learn a bit about them and examine what issues they need to have addressed. I give you a questionnaire to fill out if you decide to go forward.
Q. If we decide to hire you, what is the next step?
A. I collect your completed questionnaire, instruct you on how to measure the area to be designed and confirm details of the job. I create a conceptual plan and present it for your consideration. After any necessary revisions to the plan draft, I make a final drawing that includes installation instructions.
Q. How long do we have to decide if we want to go forward?
A. You can take all the time you want to consider your landscape plan. However, when you finally decide to plant, the time of year may dictate which plantings can be installed.
Q. What if I have landscape problems?
A. I can suggest various ways you might solve the problems.
Q. I don't think I can afford to pay for contractors to do all the work. Can I do any of it myself?
A. Of course you can! I offer landscape design, coaching and mentoring, and I can provide you with a contact list of vendors who specialize in other services you might need. You decide how many and which installations you want to do yourself.
Q. How much will this cost me?
A. That depends on the size and scale of your project. Once I meet with you and we determine what your needs are, I can give you an estimate of my fee.
I do not include the fees of vendors in my bid. You will need to contact them separately for estimates.
